At start ,A bit about myself ,before I dwell in to what shall be covered in this website,and how I intend to give all that I have ,over a course of time , and you may be assured ,that no Ill advise shall be offered here,if i don't know something (There are lots of things i don't know,i shall be more than Frank in stating that.
I Am An Ex-Merchant Naval Chief Officer,Passes My 12th In 1991,Joined Ship Due Various Reasons,( In !993)Never Actually Loved My Profession,and Was Always In Lookout For A Break In Life.In Early Year 2000,During A course Of Discussion On Board Ship,Got a Bit Interested In Trying To Figure Out ,What The Discussion Was All About( Incidentally,On That Ship lot Of Officers Were Into Stock Markets-(Now ,I Know,They Were All Novice!).
Anyway,By My Superior officer ,Was offered few books like ,Dalal Street,Capital Market-Which i Could Not Make The Head And Tail of But,I Still Tried To Go Through Whatever Material I Had.An Officer On Board That Ship,(Elderly And Respectable Figure To Me),Advised Me To Go Through "The Intelligent Investor","Investing Under Fire" And "One up On Wall Street".After 3 weeks,I signed off,And next day itself,got entire set of books for 11th/12th and those 3 mentioned books(It Was Clear To Me ,That If I was to Properly apprehend those books,i had to be clear of the basics of economics,stock Markets,business studies,accounting etc etc..THERE WAS NO LOOKING BACK AFTER THAT-LIKED THOSE 11TH/12TH STANDARD BOOKS,GOT ENROLLED FOR DISTANCE LEARNING B-COM,BEFORE I REJOINED THE SHIP AGAIN.THIS STORY CONTINUED TILL I FINALLY BADE FAREWELL TO SHIPPING IN YEAR 2009 JANUARY.
